His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar, Governor of Riyadh, honored Riyad Bank for sponsoring the national awareness campaign about the importance of breast cancer screenings for the 9th year in a row, organized by Zahra Breast Cancer Association throughout the month of October.
The Bank carried out a series of awareness-raising slogans and videos through its electronic channels and accounts in social media to spread awareness of breast cancer and its potential risks, in addition to encouraging the women to perform periodic tests to discover the disease at its early stage and to follow the best methods to prevent it.
Abeer Al El-shaikh, Senior Vice President and Head of Ladies Banking at Riyad Bank, said that Riyad Bank’s sponsorship of the campaign in its 9th year reflects the bank’s keenness to support the Saudi women in every aspect of their lives. She clarified that the bank’s sponsorship of this campaign involved a number of activities and events including sending awareness messages of the campaign through the bank’s social media channels, as well as distributing brochures, pamphlets and flowers at the ladies branches, while all employees were enthusiastic to wear the pink ribbons as a symbol of solidarity with breast cancer patients.
