The Riyad Bank Contactless Credit Card has a chip and a radio frequency antenna embedded. When the Contactless Credit Card is tapped against a terminal enabled for contactless payments, the card transmits payment details wirelessly, eliminating the need to insert the card. Account details are communicated to the reader and then processed through the secure Visa or MasterCard® acceptance network in the same way as had you inserted the card.

Anywhere with a Contactless payment PoS Machine, the card can be used to tap and pay. If a contactless PoS machine is not available, the Contactless card can still be used for swipe or dip transactions.

You need to be at least 4cm away from a PoS terminal to waive for a purchase otherwise you can also directly ‘tap’ on the terminal screen.

No, you cannot ‘Tap’ or ‘Waive’ to get cash out of an ATM using your contactless credit card. You will have to insert your Riyad Bank Contactless Credit Card into an ATM and enter your PIN as you normally do.
